February Employee of the Month puts safety first
If you haven’t met Lynnwood Williams on The Heritage campus yet, you haven’t been looking around hard enough. During COVID-19 lockdown, he could be seen regularly at the senior living community’s
front gate, delivering packages, responding to emergency calls and anywhere else he was needed. While many of The Heritage at Brentwood’s COVID-19 precautions have lessened, you still see Lynnwood making his rounds to ensure the safety and security of the community.
Lynnwood was working for a security staffing agency when a friend who worked in Somerfield Health Center referred him for a security position with The Heritage. Not long after, he was offered a full-time security position. He joined the team in March 2019 and 11 months later, was promoted to Lead Security Officer. The rest, as they say, is history.
Since being hired, Lynnwood has proven his dependability. He works double shifts and/or stays late when needed. Eddie Tomlinson, Director of Facility Services, cannot say enough about how much Lynnwood is appreciated for his hard work and dedication by his team and by leadership, which is why Lynnwood is The Heritage’s February Employee of the Month.
Lynnwood grew up in Clarksville, Tenn. and graduated from Montgomery Central High School before attending Nashville’s Te
nnessee State University to study business. His family of four daughters were raised in Whites Creek north of Nashville and all still live in the Nashville area. Lynnwood has seven grandchildren. He enjoys visiting with his family and friends and watching NFL and college sports during his time off from work. His favorite sports team is the New England Patriots.
When asked what he enjoys the most about working at The Heritage, Lynnwood responded “the residents feel like family.” He truly looks forward to coming to work every single day.
